Fuel prices: another increase in diesel and petrol prices in Morocco

Starting April 1, 2026, fuel prices will increase again, with diesel rising by 1.70 dirhams and gasoline by 1.57 dirhams. Following this increase, a liter of diesel is expected to reach approximately 14.50 dirhams, while gasoline will be around 15.50 dirhams. This increase comes just weeks after a significant initial hike in mid-March. In response to this situation, the government is maintaining the butane gas subsidy and continuing to support electricity tariffs to mitigate the impact on households. It has also implemented exceptional support measures for the transportation sector to prevent fare increases and ensure the continuity of services.
