{"id":4152,"date":"2026-04-01T03:04:09","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T03:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/beldify.shop\/moroccan-chickpeas-hummus\/"},"modified":"2026-04-01T03:04:09","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T03:04:09","slug":"moroccan-chickpeas-hummus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/beldify.shop\/ru\/moroccan-chickpeas-hummus\/","title":{"rendered":"Moroccan Chickpeas (hummus)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p>Here in Morocco they call chickpeas Hummus&#8230;not the hummus you think of as dip but acutal chickpeas in a delicious broth with vegetables&#8230; Give it a try you wont be disappointed!<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 to 1\/2 cup Olive oil<br \/>\n1 large yellow onion, chopped<br \/>\n3 carrots, cubed<br \/>\n6 red potatoes (or any small potatoes), peeled, cubed<br \/>\n2.5 lb boneless leg of lamb, fat trimmed, cut into cubes or lamb shoulder, bones removed, fat-trimmed (for vegetarian skip the lamb of course)<br \/>\n3 large garlic cloves, roughly chopped<br \/>\n\u00bd cup dried apricots or raisins<br \/>\n1 cinnamon stick<br \/>\n1 bay leaf<br \/>\n1 \u00bd tsp ground allspice<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp each cumin, tumeric, ginger<br \/>\n6 plum tomatoes, cut in halves4oz tomato paste<br \/>\n2 \u00bd cups low-sodium beef broth or vegetable broth<br \/>\n1 15-oz can chickpeas or 1\/2lb cooked chickpeas<\/p>\n<p>In a large Dutch oven or heavy oven-safe pot, heat 2 tbsp olive oil.<br \/>\nIn the heated oil, saut\u00e9 the onions, carrots, and potatoes for 4 minutes or so. Add the garlic and season with salt and pepper. Remove from the pot and set aside briefly.<br \/>\nIn the same pot, add more oil if needed, and deeply brown the lamb on all sides. Season with salt and pepper.<br \/>\nTurn heat to medium-high and return the saut\u00e9ed vegetables to the pot.
